I first start by moisturising, allowing it to dry and soften my skin. This ensures that my skin stays hydrated during the day.
Next, I prime with the Barry M Primer, which was recommended to me by my flatmate. I’ve almost finished the bottle and aren’t entirely sure if I’ll buy it again. I find that it isn’t a great base and doesn’t hold my makeup as much as I’d like it to, I’m thinking of trying the NYX Setting Spray next.
For foundation, I am loving the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. I have tried a few Rimmel foundations before but this is by far my favourite. I usually only wear foundation if I’m having a bad skin day or I want a bit of extra coverage for a special occasion. I use my Real Techniques Stippling Brush to apply this.
For concealer, I use the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. I much prefer a liquid based concealer as it applies nicely, whereas matte concealers seem to come up patchy on my skin. I use the fairest shade and apply it with my beauty blender.
To finish off my face look, I apply my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder with my Real Techniques Powder Brush. This sets my face makeup and holds it. I then use my Real Techniques Blush Brush to apply a light swish of blush on my cheeks. I am currently using the E.L.F blush/bronze kit in the shade Fiji.
For my eyebrows, I like to apply a light coat of primer and brush through my brows before filling my brows. I use the Collection Eyebrow Kit in the shade brunette but am in search for a good eyebrow pencil as I want to change my makeup bag up a bit.
For lashes, I love the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara. I’ve used this for years and know a lot of bloggers do, including famous vlogger Zoella.
Finally, I scrub my lips with the LUSH Lip Scrub in Bubblegum and apply a light coat of Carmex. Sometimes I leave my lips bare, but it all depends on what look I’m going for. Whatever lipstick I’m using will most likely be worn that day.
