Autumn Makeup Routine

As stated before, Autumn is my favourite time of year. Autumn is known for the cold weather, tending to leave skin dry and feeling rather raw so, in Autumn, I tend to stay away from foundations and use only concealer, maybe some BB cream if I’m having a bad skin day.
My Autumn makeup is just like my usual makeup routine, except I leave it looking a lot more natural but with a bolder brow. This is due to the fact that I tend to wear richer colours during the next few months, so I want the focus to be on my outfits, rather than a bright lip or a dark eye look. This natural look is very easy and great for an early start.
Moisturize and prime
I’ve swayed away from my trusty Wilko moisturiser which I fell in love with this summer, and am now using the Simple Hydrating Light Moisturizer which is great for my skin. I prime with a bit of the old Barry M primer and that’s the base complete.
Conceal (don’t feel…sorry, I had to)
Again, reusing the trusty Collection Lasting Concealer, which also is popped into my bag for any touch-ups during the day, though it tends to last a fair while. I apply this with a beauty blender.
My Rimmel powder is doing the job, again I’ve taken to carrying this with me as my face gets quite shiny during those long hours at university, so I nip to the loo whenever I can to quickly go over it. I use my Real Techniques brush here.
Leaving the blush very natural, my current favourite is the MUA blush which is very subtle but gives a lovely light coat of colour to my cheeks. This is applied with another Real Techniques brush.
Of course, my eyebrows are a must. This step falls either after my facial makeup or before, depending on how I’m feeling that day. I like my eyebrows looking bolder and a little sharper during these months. I use my Collection eyebrow kit, though I am in need of a new brush desperately!
I don’t think there is anyone who dislikes this mascara. The Maybelline Lash Sensational has been a favourite of mine for years now. I use my eyelash curlers which help the mascara give my lashes a boost, lasting up to 11 hours which is perfect for those long days.
My carmex follows me everywhere, and I tend to leave my lips as it is during Autumn, although most mornings I’ll put a light coat of liquid lipstick and blend it in, giving me a little colour if I’m looking rather pale.
