After a long day at work or university, I like to treat myself to a nice skincare routine, especially if I have been wearing a full face of makeup all day. As someone who suffers from sensitive skin, I like to make sure that the products I use are good for my skin, won’t cause any breakouts, and aren’t heavy.
I was introduced to this range from The Body Shop about a month ago from the lovely Bryoni Burns and immediately fell in love with it. There are three products and three separate stages that ensure my makeup is removed, my skin is completely clean and left feeling incredibly soft.
The Body Shop is a very big brand in the UK. I’ve always adored their body butter, especially the strawberry one, and only tried their skincare range once, a few years ago. I had a very bad reaction so was hesitant to try it again, though they were doing a 3 for 2 deal so I thought I’d give it another try. One thing I absolutely love about The Body Shop is that it is cruelty-free, as well as their commitment to ethical business. Their products are sourced from raw and natural ingredients, creating a wide range of face, hair and body items that are made to be good for you.
This little product does such a fabulous job at removing all of my makeup at the end of a long day. I apply a little bit to a cotton pad and gently rub off my makeup. It’s especially good at removing mascara without leaving your eyes looking like a panda’s. It smells incredible and it’s a very heavy product, leaving my skin feeling nice and smooth.
I’ve used plenty of toners before but nothing can match to this one. It’s got such a lovely scent to it and doesn’t leave my skin feeling raw after, something I’ve found while using other toners. Again, it’s very gentle and I highly recommend these products to anyone who suffers from sensitive skin.
Gentle Facial Wash
Finally, after removing all of my makeup, I hop in the shower and wash my face with this product. A little goes a long way, and I love products that get a bit bubbly around your face when you are washing it, it lets me know that it’s actually working. It’s such a gentle little wash and I absolutely adore this routine I have. It leaves my skin feeling moisturised and healthy.
All these products were bought in The Body Shop for £8 each.
