I think it’s safe to say that 2018 flew by!
This year is already promising to be a great year with the prospect of many positive things happening in my life! I’ll be graduating this year, turning twenty-two, moving in with my boyfriend, and really getting started with my life. I’m excited to travel, work, build up my blog and experience all that life has to offer!
It’s hard to believe that I only have five months left at university and will soon be graduating with a law degree. I’ve worked incredibly hard these past few years and, despite the fact that I don’t want a legal career, it’s promising to open many doors for me in my venture for a career. I’ve got my dissertation due date in March, alongside a bundle of assignments and exams before I’m handed my cap and gown, and I’m really determined to make the last few months count. This little university has been my home for the past three years and, although I am staying fairly closeby, it’s going to be hard to say goodbye to the little city that won my heart.
My boyfriend and I have started looking at flats as we’ve wanted to move in together for about a year now, but decided to wait until after graduation so more options would be available (i.e not just student accommodation). I’ve moved around a fair bit during my time at university, so I am super excited to get my own home and really settle in someone. I’ll be keeping you all updated with the process and, more than anything, will be doing a LOT of homeware hauls when the time comes to start buying bits! I’ve already got an Amazon wishlist the size of my arm so I can’t wait to get started!
I’m currently working in the admin department at an accountancy and, once I graduate, I’m looking to start working there full-time. I’m not sure what I want to do in the long run but have been looking at accountancy courses that will give me more qualifications but, knowing my ever-changing mind, this is subject to change. I’m completely open to anything!
So I suppose it’s time to bid farewell to another year. As I’m getting older, the years seem to fly by, but each one never fails to bring me happiness. 2018 was definitely more good than bad for the first time in a long time, and I’m eager to get stuck into this New Year! I became much more independent, spend a wonderful birthday in Brighton with the love of my life, met and made some incredible new friends, started to accept myself for who I am, and cut out all negativity!
Now, onto my goals for 2019!
My main goal for this year is to get settled into my new home in June and to really get started on making my mark on this world. I want to start focusing on getting a career, as well as writing my blog which means so much to me. I can’t wait to look back on it from years to come and see everything that I got up to as a young adult, sort of like a shared online diary. I want to start building up my presence on social media, creating a brand for myself and become more confident in myself!
