I’ve been buying quite a lot of new products recently, especially from The Body Shop, and I have found myself replacing previous products that I love with ones that I absolutely adore. I’ve invested into some more expensive makeup, finding a passion for beauty and expanding into using eyeshadow and lipstick daily, something I only used to wear on special occasions. I think I might write a separate post on all the goodies I have purchased from The Body Shop, otherwise, this post will be extremely long, though I will feature a couple of products on here.

Last month I picked up the Mac Velvet Teddy lipstick at duty-free before we boarded our flight to Italy and I am in love. I’ve always wanted to try a Mac lipstick and, as this shade is their most popular, I thought I would see what the hype was all about while I had the opportunity to get it at a cheaper price. The colour is stunning, perfect for Autumn though I find myself wearing it every day, and it lasts for hours, even if I pop to town for a coffee with a friend, it hardly smudges. It is such a creamy texture and builds up nicely on my lips without drying, leaving my lips feeling moisturised all day.

I was very naughty a few weeks ago and splashed out on the Too Faced Natural Lust palette which came to ยฃ52 from ASOS. I’ve only ever used high-street brands, finding that they never worked well for me and I always struggled to create looks that I loved. As soon as I laid eyes on this palette, I instantly knew I had to have it, ordering it the next day when my student loan dropped. The colours are beautiful and last all day, fifteen are matte and fifteen are shimmer, giving you the perfect medium. They are buildable and can also be blended out extremely well. I am in the process of trying to test out all the shades, at the moment I’ve used about eight and I already love it. I am desperate to get my hands on a few new palettes and already have visions of my makeup collection growing…

The NARS foundation is one of my favourite foundations to wear on a night out or on days where I need full coverage, and I have since purchased the NARS concealer to match. I’ll never abandon my Collection Lasting Perfection concealer which almost every beauty blogger on the planet loves, but as NARS has a heavier coverage than other brands, I thought I’d save it for days where my skin is quite bad but I don’t have the time to put on foundation. I love NARS as it’s long lasting and very natural looking once blended in.

Speaking of foundation, I decided to try out The Body Shop’s fresh nude foundation after my friend recommended it to me. I have only worn it once so far but I really like it. It feels incredibly light on my skin and is super hydrating, making me feel as though my skin is undergoing treatment while I am wearing it. It also comes in adorable packaging which I love to have on display with my other foundations.

I think I have mentioned this product before as I have been using it for a few months, but my Laura Mercier powder will forever hold a place in my makeup bag. It comes with a little mirror and sponge, meaning I can chuck it in my bag and use it during the day if my face gets a little shiny. It lasts for ages and I find myself hardly reaching for it as the day passes, giving my skin a fresh look and applying nicely over my face makeup.

The Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume is currently the greatest thing in my life and it’s a struggle every day to resist the urge to drown myself in it. It was definitely a spur of the moment spend as I only recently purchased the Elizabeth Arden pomegranate and green tea perfume (which is also fab by the way), but as soon as I smelt it I knew I needed it. It’s a popular perfume which a lot of influencers use and for good reason. Next time you are in Superdrug, ask to smell it and try and tell me it doesn’t smell like heaven itself.
